Inheritance Tax – New payslips
20th September 2016

HMRC have phased out the older Bank Giro payslips for paying Inheritance Tax, which show the sort code 62-40-03 and refer to Nat West. These payslips could only be used up to 22 July 2016 and are no longer being accepted.  We understand from HMRC that some are still being used and are being rejected (and could incur a penalties).

HMRC is asking probate practitioners to check that they are using the new payslips which we are told carry the sort code of 25-61-21 and refer to Barclays.
